I went outside this morning in a balmy 47degrees to put up a few decorations.  I'm keeping it very simple, and a bit different.  No lights on the bushes or the house; just a decorated lampstand out front, and a line of lit up plastic snowflakes and candy canes surrounding our planted area of the lawn.
I transformed the tall "shepherd's hook" plant stand into a pseudo - tree draped in plastic evergreens, pointsettias, golden beads and lights.  And on my porch table, a basket of varied round ornaments and ribbon., At the door, a wreath created for us as a gift from our secretary in Los Angeles, long ago.  In the center of the wreath Leticia had placed a manger scene with Jesus in the manger and Mary and Joseph on either side.  The simplicity of the Greatest Gift. Yes, Thanksgiving is 3 days away and my attention is turning to preparing the traditional feast and surrounding our table with family and friends.  I am truly grateful for the blessings God has bestowed upon me personally through my husband, my kids, family, church and friends.   I'm grateful for my gifts which include music and mercy, and a mind that can acquire new knowledge which helps grow my business and secure the financial future for us.  Have you heard of affiliate marketing?  It is a system which can pour out some "gravy" on your bottom line, or "drip" in a bit at a time to fill up your checking account.   By joining a company as an affiliate, you earn a percentage on the purchases of others when you help promote that business.  It is a great way to  "monetize" your business advertising efforts. It is one of many parts of an overall business building strategy.   By earning residual percentages from products you promote, you have a stream of income to use for your own advertising efforts.  So, pass the gravy and enjoy the drips accumulating in your account even while you feast away this week!   God bless you and yours.
